(10,603 posts)What's the occasion?
CaliforniaPeggy
(155,192 posts)This is going to sound very strange, but here goes: I've been learning how to shoot macro photos, and I thought that this roast beef would be a great way to try out that setting.
That was the occasion: getting good at macro!

(155,192 posts)Alas, no Yorkshire pudding! I've never had it, but I've heard it's amazing with the roast beef.
New potatoes and asparagus rounded out our meal.

(21,622 posts)It looks mighty luscious, scrumptious.
[Some lovely people in my past of a by-gone era loved to use the word 'scrumptious' descriptive adjective a whole lot. Pennsylvanians mostly. Now I just did.🤭]
Love ya! 💙
On edit: Just noticed a 'scrumptious' up thread! 😉

(1,372 posts)What an excellent display of your top-quality 'rope-work' with that double-knotted butcher's twine. Nicely done, indeed.
CaliforniaPeggy
(155,192 posts)However, I cannot take credit for the twine. The butcher who prepared the roast for me did that work.
And I paid him for it too!

CaliforniaPeggy
(155,192 posts)It was indeed juicy and flavorful.
It's not hard to make. Let me know if you'd like the recipe and I'll post it.
