what seemed like a wall of pipers, about 100 of them, played "try to remember the days of september". This was the summer after 9/11. Pipes get to the heart of the matter. That was a great moment I shared with my aunt. You are lucky to have chosen such a versatile & emotional instrument. I'd put it up there with the violin.

ago. She had a conveyer belt going across the stage while she and a piper pipping did Russian kosak dips/kicks in unison. It was quite the juxtaposition of cultures a the conveyor belt delivered them across the stage. I loved your playing too. Thanks.

... I'm real partial to bagpipes. Have thought for years that I would get a training pipe and start practicing, but never did it. Have allot of British Isles in me (English, Irish and Scottish ancestors.)
Thanks for sharing!

They make me cry.

I have a practice chanter ...but I can't seem to discipline myself and practice.

My Dad was from England. Last name was Cummin, which seems to be a Scottish clan. But he was Jewish. I don't know......... it's confusing

I tried teaching myself as a youngster, but I felt I needed the guidance of a teacher.
