One of the most under appreciated guitarists.

I've listened to Buckethead for years, but I rearely ever see mention of the man. Sure he's a bit... different, however he is undoubtedly brilliant.

I just stumbled across Praxis live from TN in 2004 and was floored by the performance.

If he is not on your list, I suggest adding him.

Anyone who hangs out with Les Claypool is a musician alright. And I kind of enjoy his on-stage persona. He's the kind of player that is so good it's hard for him to find commercial success.

I was very impressed at his skills, but it's also obvious he understands the music too. He's not just playing notes, he's playing notes with intent.

He's been around longer than that, he's nearly my age... But I digress, not the number of notes, how you help the listener feel it. See Wes Montgomery

Apparently Guthrie Govan is pretty under appreciated and a similar style, if you fancy a listen
