I have a Dr Z Maz 38R senior, I LOVE it. I was just wondering if anyone else had one, and what they thought of it. I'll tell you one thing about this amp, there is definitely a "learning curve"
involved with a Dr Z amp. As a lifetime fender/vox man, I could not believe the articulation of this amp. It definitely will show you your playing flaws. But that's a GOOD thing.

They are a fantastic amp. A Dr. Z and a Telecaster will definitely expose every little flaw in your playing. And for me that would be numerous flaws and limitations. I see quite a few of them on stage with country players.

want that "new Nashville " sound, tele/DrZ is tough to beat.
Interesting though, I have a strat also, and when I play it with my Boss BD2 , the Dr Z can ROAR with the best of them.

That's kind of where I'm at these days when I do pick up my electric guitar. I'd say it's been six months since I did that. My acoustic is my task master right now.

Looks like I'm playing rhythm for the foreseeable future because our lead player is a monster. I've been learning so much from him. That pretty much rules out the Telecaster. I also enjoy country but haven't really messed with it much because of the scene. Mostly I play church music since that's my primary focus. I do have to say a secular gig is going to be lots of fun.

because I was just amazed by guys like Tony Rice, Clarence White etc. I always laugh when any guitar player (usually a newbie) turns up his nose at bluegrass music/guitar because
"It sounds simple" lol. If it were up to me, I would make every young guitar player learn the fundamentals of bluegrass
rythm/lead guitar. Does wonders for your playing form.

Agreed?

It is my first boutique style amp. I love it to death. Using the master volume and a TS-808 tube screamer, it gets heavenly tones with my Carvin C S6. I looked online for about a month till I found it on a Wisconson music store's website for $999. I snapped it up in a heartbeat.
