"Topic" by Alex Lifeson. Rush reunion Tour 2026

Rush just announced a 12 date reunion tour for next summer, just five years after Drummer Neil Peart died. (that went by fast).

The "50 Something" tour will start of at the Kia Forum in LA where they played their last show in 2015 and end in Cleveland (Rocks!). In between will be Mexico City, Ft Worth, Chicago New York, and Toronto.

Taking Peart's place will be influential German composer and producer Anika Nilles. She previously toured with Jeff Beck but in a way got laid off from that job. Her main influence is listed as the drummer from TOTO.

Lifeson and Lee "cannot be more excited" to introduce her to their (diehard) fan base. "Whom we know will give her every chance to live up to that near impossible role".

Do you think fans will accept 2/3 of Rush on this tour, even though they haven't had a new release since 2012?

Victor was my favorite Rush album that also wasn't Rush, so maybe they'll be fine

Any who don't are living in the past. Alex and Geddy wouldn't do this if they didn't think it would hold up to standards.

Their live shows will now be a partial tribute to Neil. I love that it is more opportunity to hear their catalog LIVE.

And the trolls are getting called out. A lot of people are wondering if Olivia is still drumming. Olivia is Neil's daughter and is 16 now.
