The Wayward Wind - Neil Young
Neil Young counts Gogi Grant’s 1956 smash-hit version of “The Wayward Wind” among the 5 songs that most inspired him growing up: “I think it was grade four, I heard this song and for some reason, I associate it with the school and the highway, and the railroad tracks going behind the school.”2 Neil recorded the song in 1986.
