Any Rush fans here? I just

heard Alex and Geddy have announced a tour called Rush: 50 something. I never believed they'd go on the road again and play their music without Neil, but it's happening.

The show they put on was always excellent. They'll never be the same though, without Neil.

They started before showtime. Tickets said 7pm but they started in 10 minutes early. Great concert.

Wish they retired the Rush name. Led Zep got it right. The Who got it wrong.

Why do they aspire to be a Rush cover band?

Will have to check her out. I am sure she is proficient, but it is not the same. These are Neil's songs (after the first album of course).

I would not call out Alex and Geddy for continuing to use the name Rush, and calling them a "Rush cover band" is way out of line

They are 2/3 of the band and the two founding members, and they have the writing credits for the music part of the songs. I'd say it'd be cool of them to decide not continue with the name after Neil's passing, but not that it's uncool of them to continue to do so. As an aside, La Villa Strangiato gives writing credit to Alex solely. Are they allowed to play THAT song using the name "Rush", in your estimation?

They put on a great show, there were others I liked even better. They had loud clear sound and often in that era, video screen for some of the set. I saw them in, 82, 85(6?), 87 and 89.
