Morricone - The Ecstasy of Gold - live orchestra

Ironically it was during the "silent era" that American film music began its rise, ultimately becoming the genre which would attract the most talented multi-instrumentalists and arrangers. Hans Zimmer, Danny Elfman, Carmine Coppola and so many others draw from european classical, klezmer, afro-cuban and every other source that speaks to our souls. Aspiration, grief, elation, longing, remembrance, the infinite all find expression in film music.

Love seeing all the instruments they use.
