'77 was the beginning of the "Carlos got lazy" era. Even here, he's playing just ok but too much of that tremolo picking & overbending. Problem is, he's now been doing that for 48 years.
I did think that synth doing the horn & string pads was too loud.
Was that Michael Shrieve on drums?

Not sure how that managed to escape me my entire lifetime of listening to his music. But, happened on it just while surfing Youtube and liked it enough to share it here, I found it very soulful. I agree about the synth coming in too loud the first time, it seemed he turned it down some after that first burst) so as not to drown Santana out. Yes it was Shrieve on drums.
