... as I was lighting it and as the synths came up, it looked like a red fiery Christmas tree was rising up out of the green pot. About 55 years ago.

In HS, I was working at a music store (piano lessons), that had a Moog franchise.
During my down periods, I leaned to use a Minimoog & a Micromoog specifically to reproduce the ending of this song.
It probably addicted me to synthesizers!

... they'd also had a vibraphone that still worked (spining disks inside the chimes) and went from being an art project jazz group to punk/new wave.
