Sad that Buddy Holly could never plug in with the Dead and do "Not Fade Away"....he would have loved this sound.

where his mind was going this time.
He had to originalize often to keep it fresh.
He was a player in a world all his own.

2. Can you imagine the Dead in 1968 with Ron McKernan and Buddy Holly.....opening with "Oh Boy"

and shutting it down with "Not Fade Away"....would have been an epic meld of music from the 50's to the 70's.
