George had the guitar capoed at the 7th fret, just like the original Here Comes The Sun. But, Paul didn't. So, they had completely different inversions, and made it very rich.
Same thing on Homeward Bound, but it was less pronounced.
Very good stuff.

I can't quite make it out, but it looks like there are two sets of machine heads, six in the usual position and six perpendicular.

I remember the Rickenbacker twelve stiing that Harrison played in Hard Day's Night had a similar configuration.

But, with the skeleton headstock, it's hard to tell. And, I don't hear 12 string. So, I honestly can't say if it is or isn't.
I'm pretty tuned in to 12 string because I play one for half of everything I play. I'm flummoxed!
