Linda Ronstadt, the girlfriend I always wanted.

Interesting fact, Nicolette Larson, who sang with Commander Cody also was Linda Ronstadt's roommate. Nicollette married Russ Kunkel, the drummer on this song. Sadly she died of cancer in the 90's....

Reminded me of a fun recording story:
Neil Young needed some backing vocals.
Nicolette Larson came in.
Neil "ok, let's run through it" (a new song)
So they ran through the song once.
Neil "Thanks very much"
That vocal is what went on the record.
