What a wonderful time. For me, anyway.

Until the KKK-GOP takeover in 1994, it really looked like we could break with the past, and make a better future.

I hadn’t counted on all the people who benefited from the mindset of the past.

But the music. The music takes me back to a time of hope…

I can’t link from my phone right now. But look up “Hunger Strike” by Temple Of The Dog.

Advocating for the homeless and the downtrodden.

So proud of our hometown boys…

The first couple songs I heard by them, I was convinced it was Pearl Jam.

Along with bands such as the Goo Goo Dolls and Toad the Wet Sprocket, I had such hopes that more artists would help rock evolve in that direction. I listened to SiriusXMU (indie rock channel) during a long drive recently, and I heard a couple of songs reminiscent of this style. I don’t remember the names of the bands, and the songs could have been from any time from the last decade or so.

In the meantime, we have some good music to sustain us.

The 2 guitars at the beginning sound so good together.
One of the pinnacles of jangly rock!
