very good.

But I prefer Molly Hatchet's cover, which is so powerful it just blows away the original, IMO. It's also my favorite Molly Hatchet track.

I feel the same way about the Rolling Stones' cover of "Not Fade Away" and Iggy Pop's cover of "Wild One." It's rare, but there are times I prefer a cover to the origjnal.

The MH version is more rhythmic and the guitars are much crunchier. Then it's got that pseudo-funk break. Pretty cool.
I'm not nuts about either solo on the Allman's version. I don't think it's Duane or Dickie's best work.
I'm more ok with the MH solos, though the second one is a bit too "major-y" for my taste.
