Is about the greatest album any 3 piece band has ever done. Every song on it is a classic.
I rank Trowers guitar as good as anyone who has ever played the instrument.

Still have the CD in my CD player in the truck. I listen to it often.

I’d never made a list of 3-piece bands and their albums before. Better get busy! Another band just occurred to me: West, Bruce & Laing. Underrated and under appreciated in their heyday IMO.

....which doesn't actually exist. (the list, that is....)

Here's another one nobody has ever heard of: Triumvirat.

Keyboards, bass and drums. Serious 70's electronic rock. Not everbody's taste, but very much in my wheelhouse.
I adore their "Sparticus" concept album.

I didn't think anybody this side of the Mississippi ever heard of them!!
Especially since they are a German group.

But good on you....I see you have IMPECCABLE TASTE!

I don't have it at the top of 3 piece band albums, but it's up there for sure.
Trower was an early Hendrix disciple who was able to take it to the next level. He's historically underrated as a guitarist.
And, James Dewar's voice is fantastic. Big, powerful, smoky, but smooth!
I played that album to death, too

in January 1974. Had recently moved to Berkeley for Cal and was 4 weeks into first quarter of university. Girlfriend and new friends in adjacent flat on Durant surprised me. Bridge of Sighs was only Trower album ever owned (but had several Procol Harum albums).

Did not realize until the internet that Trower had been in Procol Harum and had attended shows with Procol Harum at Fillmore West and Winterland in high school. In 1969 bought Heath Kits mail order to assemble an amplifier and a radio receiver; bought a Garrard turntable and pair of KLH speakers at Pacific Stereo on Shattuck in Berkeley; and bought 5 albums including the Procol Harum album with A Whiter Shade of Pale.

Can't claim to have paid much attention to Tower since the 1970s.
