1. Fun Pumpkins Fact

The first band their drummer was ever in was mine.
I heard him play a half song and told him he was in if his parents said it was ok! He was only 15 and was already becoming a monster player. His brother was a well-known drummer in the Illinois club scene so his parents were on board.
If we played somewhere that served alcohol, one of his parents always came. Very supportive.

3. Same Here

The first time I saw that I thought about Jimmy.
I went on to about 2,000 more gigs. So did he, but for a heck of a lot more money!
Funny thing is, he left to go play with a harder rock band, but over the next year we played 20-25 gigs & they played about 10.
Sure didn't seem to hurt his career though!
