A string game with most or all fingers?

Somewhere around the age of 14, there was a string activity popular with girls in my area.

One person would hold a design and another person would take the design from the first person’s fingers.

Was this a particular game or design?

Boys played it, too. I can still do the first three, the rest have deserted an aging brain. marble falls Nov 2021 #6

I guess there are only three moves, but I thought there were more.
