Busy Bodies and The Music Box are among the best comedic shorts ever -- definitive slapstick efforts by the best film comedy team of all time. There's a lot to like today on TCM.

8:00 PM - The Birth of a Nation (1915) with Jamelle Bouie. Bouie is an American columnist for The New York Times. He was formerly chief political correspondent for Slate. David Uberti, writing in the Columbia Journalism Review in 2019, called Bouie "one of the defining commentators on politics and race in the Trump era." Prior to joining Slate, Bouie was awarded a writing fellowship for The American Prospect in 2010. He was awarded a Knobler Fellowship at the Nation Institute by The Nation in 2012.
11:30 PM - Lincoln (2012) with Robert Gates. Gates is an American intelligence analyst and university president who served as the 22nd United States secretary of defense from 2006 to 2011. He was appointed by President George W. Bush and was retained by President Barack Obama.
2:15 AM - Malcolm X (1992) - No host, but I'm going to plug it anyway. Spike Lee's brilliant biopic.
