(132,412 posts)of NS and Prince Edward Island are warmer than the oceans north of the Carolinas in the US in the summer. But if you want waves, go either north or south of Halifax on the east coast. Lovely people in NS. I've lived there twice. My final goal is to visit Sable Island though i plan to go to the South Shore to do some genealogy.

(53,410 posts)I love the waves breaking on the rocks. It creates a bit of natural chaos in the scene. The lighthouse and rocks and sky are all calm with the waves being in motion. Its a nice quality.
