Our DU Treasure, Samplegirl, has asked me to post to let you all know she misses everyone very much and is eager to resume her painting as soon as an issue with her eye is resolved. She is continuing treatment and hopes to be back with us soon.

Our beloved Samplegirl has a way with painting animals and flowers so that they all look like they are smiling. I've yet to gaze upon her work and not cracked a smile. That is rare talent, imo.

I have a snake exit/entry point somewhere in my house that I can't find to plug up. I've been on edge since. At least my kitchen and laundry room are neat and clean now. I guess that's the good news.
They'd definitely take my money, probably won't find anything either, and laugh at me for being a wimp.
I have insects and frogs and skinks get in all the time here. It is a regular thing living this close to the woods. It's a blessing and a curse to have your own forest.
Spiders stress me out even more. I killed a black widow yesterday.
I have rabbits, foxes, deer, and wild turkeys in my yard on a regular basis. The opossum visit under the deck at night. I have an owl. There are all kinds of birds, bats and squirrels. Even coyotes. Snakes are just a part of the landscape. I'm trying not to let it stress me out.
The good news is that the opossum eat snakes. Maybe one of the opossums will handle the problem for me.
I put down some diatomaceous earth powder to see if anything tracks in, and that may help. I believe that it might be getting in via the dryer. So I'm zeroing in on that area since that's the last known location.
