(82,789 posts)You are truly gifted.
Do you ever do the tutorials Samplegirl uses on You Tube? I love her work, too.
Diamond_Dog
(41,555 posts)Ive tried them a few times and can only make a mess. Paint and pencil I can handle, but Im still my own worst critic! TY!
SheltieLover
(82,789 posts)You do a great job with what you have to work with!
I think with watercolors, a lot of the trick is in how wet (or dry) the paper is. But she does some great You Tube tutorials.
Please let your inner critic know we all enjoy your work immensely!

(12,648 posts)You nailed the eyes, that inquisitive, what-the-heck-are-you-doing expression pups give us all the time. Also the sheen on the black coat. Like his/her nails peeking out from beneath the paws. Makes me want to jump into the frame and give the pupper a hug.
Your sister's friend should be thrilled with the result. I'm impressed that this is your first animal portrait.

(41,555 posts)Painting an all-black dog was harder than I thought. I am happy you like it!
