I retired and don't need my Dooney bags, Swarovski pins, etc. Where to sell?

I also have several Skagen watches and old Laurel Burch cat pins.

I want to get rid of this stuff but don't know which sites to trust. Ebay? Poshmark? Mercari? Other options are local shops that buy this kind of thing or consign. These would pay less but also save me the hassle.

Just not sure what to do. Any advice?

2. Auction them

I don't know where you are, but near me there is an auction place that takes care of this sort of thing. People I know have made an absolute killing on stuff like that. One guy sold all his old silver accessories and the bidding was ridiculous. The other thing you can do is sell them on Poshmark, but I don't think you'll get as much.

3. I've been selling on ebay for 22 years

they will take a percentage, but you have the whole world as your potential customer.

My daughter likes poshmark because it doesn't have a gazillion items listed, so not as much competition.

Regardless---unless you have a "hot" item---it may take months to sell, unless you price them to go.

When pricing your items be sure to look at the "sold" prices....just because something is listed for $100 doesn't mean it will sell for that price.

used to sell. I could probably make more on ebay, but I really can't deal with the hassle of it anymore.

It's a trade off. I think I'll take a couple of the bags to a consignment/resale shop next week and see what they say.

I also have a whole lotta of beautiful silk scarves - who even wears them anymore except that scarf lady from F47's COVID days?
