The DU Lounge
Related: Culture Forums, Support ForumsAfter the NO KINGS...in Hale, Michigan
We went home to take the wear and tear off our old legs. Been at it since 9:30am making signs and organizing stuff. We were tired.
Sat down to a beer for me and a glass of wine of wine for my dear. Rocked the loungers back and just wanted to relax.
Knock, knock, knock at the door
a neighbor who was walking her dog alerted us to our next door neighbor had smoke coming out her windows
ran like the wind over to her home
.oven fire started.
I asked for some baking soda hoping that would work
threw it in and it did, but the house was filled with smoke.
Ran back home got my big fans we use to cool the greenhouse and tried to desmoke the place.
By the time I got back, probably a minute and a half, by that time the dog walker notified the fire department. They filled the block with first responders within that small amount of time
.whatta comfortable feeling.
Couple of them were at the protest, high fives around.
It was an eventful day.
Love my town
and all its inhabitants. No matter the color of our politics or religion we are here for each other
the way it should be.
Thats the American way.
That was what today was about.
