(1,422 posts)We had a pair of armadillos dig a nest under our lanai (Im in FL, so these are 9-banded armadillos) and eventually emerged with four little ones. They were ADORABLE, and fearless. It was really sad when they grew old enough to venture out of the back yard and head into the vacant lots across the street, but it was a privilege to be able to see them grow up.

I think they either have poor hearing or poor eyesight.

(16,801 posts)Yet, I don't think I could bring myself to pick Frank up. There's something about their undersides that gross me out. I do think they are very cute, though. Down south where I grew up, we called them possums on the half-shell.
