(128,699 posts)for the last year I drank. I was allowed one drink a day but wanted more. I gave in 3 times in that year and it was a disaster all three times. A good quit is a relief and I don't want to go back.
It'll be 7 years this September for me!

(128,699 posts)I'm going off diet coke some day soon and am told that I will not tolerate milk products or sugar or sugar substitute on the medication I am on so I'm gearing up to drink tea or coffee straight up.

(50,525 posts)I can pop the tea bag in the B&D single cup coffee maker then transfer the tea bag to the mug for a few minutes more.
I am having one now after work, and taking 2 aspirin. After 30 minutes I do a 1.9 mile walk.

yummy.
I loved OJ with "Dad's Chocolate Chip Cookies" dipped in when I was a teen. Sounds kind of strange but orange does go with chocolate.
I'm going to try tea and coffee with just milk like you. I have to ween myself off Stevia.

It's a favorite that I enjoy only occasionally because I am down to a couple of cakes, having bought several the year after its production.

(128,699 posts)in Laurel, Mississippi where they rebuilt an old farmhouse for a family growing tea. The couple had lived in Asia where they fell in love with the teas. They came home and converted a family farm into growing specialized tea. They have tea tastings. They sell out in days when a new tea comes out. Just an FYI.

(2,703 posts)Like to slightly sweeten my cold tea with a bit of limeade (20-30%), sometimes. Prefer red tea for hot beverage.
Cant drink a lot of black tea, though
overindulgence resulted in kidney stones (twice). Dont want any repeat of that!

She'd put a spoon in a tall glass of ginger ale so the bubbles would all attach to it and you'd pull out the spoon and then the ginger ale would have fewer bubbles and be more syrupy. I looked forward to being sick.
