I laugh every time I pass by.
I'm assuming it's supposed to be the French, Chez Salon, but that doesn't even make sense. Chez Salon would translate to House of Salon, if my rudimentary French is correct.
When I drive by I always imagine it's a private hair salon for the noted Cuban revolutionary Che Guevarra.
Always check for heavily armed men in fatigues hanging around outside the entrance.

(4,289 posts)Was my mom's hair salon on Kauai in beautiful Hanalei (across from the green church where I got married). It got wiped out by hurricane Iniki in 1992.
Memories.....
Lots of other hair salons have that name now, mostly hair extension places.

Japanese to English does not always translate well. I have no idea what the Japanese name was.
At the little air base hospital, when some construction work was being done, there was a sign that urged, Caution Upon Your Head.
