And I would say historically that half or more of protest crowds here arrive late. A very good omen.
Just got home, it seems better planning should have been done for something around the 4th of July. The crowd I mentioned in my initial post was it's peak. It was supposed to start at noon and it seems only hardcore protesters were there.
I heard people say I didn't even know about it until.....
The crowd was engaged but it seemed showing up was the purpose and once done, many left within 15-30 minutes and by 1230pm most of the crowd was gone.
The unfortunate take I have on this is that people are so disconnected, that these policies are going to have to slug them in the face before they wake up. Unfortunately, that includes most Democrats. Sadly, like most life lessons, these are gonna get learned the hard way.
I'm glad we went and glad others showed too. Better than nothing.
Happy Independence Day everyone.
