(126,935 posts)Recipe: set a quart of vanilla frozen yogurt on the counter to thaw. 1/2 and hour later add lemon and lime rind, and lemon and lime juice to taste to the partially unfrozen yogurt. Stir. Put back in the freezer for a day. Buy chocolate cups.
Put them together and serve.

(324 posts)......in brown sugar and raspberry sauce in layers then doused with a little bourbon. Jeez, now that I've typed it out, it seems kind of over the top, doesn't it? It was in a recipe book that we got in D.C. 50 years ago and we keep going back to it. The book was one of those things that a group puts together as a fund raiser, collected everyone's old family recipes. The desert was called "Tipsy Parson" and it really is the bourbon, added generously, that sets it apart. Our guests have never complained.

(334 posts)pound cake cubes, cream cheese/sweetened whipped cream mixture and layers of strawberries/ raspberries and blueberries/ blackberries. I macerate some of the berries so some are juicy. Wouldnt it be fun if we could all get together for a picnic! 😊

(1,372 posts)Just me, nothing could-be-better than a large plopping of Deb's fresh-out-of-the-oven peach cobbler with two scoops of vanilla ice cream served in a porcelain bowl with a stainless-steel dessert spoon.
Not even those two Cheesecakes from Costco I will be packing-in just for this occasion. Why, I might even have seconds, that is, if there were any bits remaining on the serving platter.

When cooled and thickened, put a little bit on top of Haagen Daz vanilla bean ice cream. Also good on pound cake.
