but if you need a good cry. It is a Mother singing to her dying daughter to shut her eyes, that her Dad (who has already starved) will come with food soon. It is supposed to be from the 1840's.
It has been lightened up for modern tastes by Cartoon Saloon.

I went to today's California Peggy's photo post to thank her. I love everything about DU and feel humbled that so many smart kind people post here (and I haven't been kicked out!). And thanks for noticing the 10K milestone 🥰. I've been thinking about it all day.

"A Cottage For Sale" live on her TV show. One of the most remarkable, emotional, deeply personal and difficult performances I've ever seen an artist go through. She knew her demons, she knew her part in the relationship problems and as she is singing it she knows the marriage she had tried at the time was over and another relationship ended in heartbreak for her.

Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion, too

Imagine all the people
Livin' life in peace

You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one

I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one
