I will never understand why people would have pets and not take care of them. What is the point? As I've said many times, thank goodness there are people like this woman and her husband, who will take abused and neglected animals and show them love, probably for the first time in their lives. And how they flourish with that love! It brings tears to my eyes, happy tears, and goodness knows, I need more of those in these terrible times. I think we all do.

Again, I thank you, catbyte, for finding and posting these kinds of stories. It helps to restore my faith in mankind (to an extent!).
