Looking for alternatives

A few years back a friend rightly called me out for my thoughtless use of abelist slurs, in particular when I called Trump supporters "stupid" or "idiots" or "morons."

I saw the wisdom in my friend's rebuke, and since then I have pretty much completely eliminated that language from my speech and my postings. Instead, I use terms like "fool" and "ignorant" and "kkkultist," because these denote a largely deliberate choice rather than a circumstance of birth over which the target had and has no control.

Also acceptable are "asshole," "asshat," and "shithead," because these are a commentary on behavior and not an attack on inherent traits.

But sometimes I want something with a little more punch.


Any suggestions?
