My boss and I sat down this past week and she agreed to screen Rocky Picture Horror Show the week after this. I've never seen the movie myself. But it's a theme for us to dress up.
I know I could look online. But I'd rather hear from people here!
Oh forgot to add it's a coffee house where it's being shown.

(3,379 posts)Fishnets, lots of black, anything that makes you feel va-voom.
You can go all in and dress like one of the characters (that would need a Google). An easy one is a surgeons gown (usually available at Party City or Spirit Halloween) with fishnets and heels and a pearl necklace. A French maid costume also works.
Whatever you would feel best wearing, dramatic make up will really bring you into the spirit. Again, you can be literal like a character or just inspired. Frank'n'Furter had a very glossy red lip with black and grey eyeshadow for some parts and blue for others. A smokey eye, dramatic lashes, and red lip would be perfect. If you're not comfortable with eye make up then just a red lip would do because....well, that's the trademark.
A lot of people who don't dress as characters tend to come in standard goth gear. RHPS has really evolved in decades and the underlying theme is to come as you are and let your freak flag fly, so technically anything you want to wear is appropriate. We used to have people come dressed as chickens and bunnies and gorillas. We'd have kink folks. There'd be people in sweaters and jeans. And then full cosplay. It's beautiful that way.
Have fun and I hope you enjoy it!

(10,711 posts)When I went to the show, we dressed as characters from the film. Personally, I would recommend looking at some photos and getting a feel for the vibe/mood. You may be inspired by something specific... if not, then just wear something festive, fun, and wild* (!)
* I had trouble deciding which word to use here. My choices: flashy, sexy, daring, racy, wild or shocking

(58,621 posts)if you aren't used to them. When I was a kid it was typical to start with heels that were only 1-2 inches, but I wouldn't recommend even that. They look good but aren't good for your feet.
Enjoy the film! I first saw Rocky Horror in the '70s and have always loved it. Tim Curry especially.
