My 1st flight in forever

is before dawn tomorrow. Will be gone for a month and just learned there is a limit on battery packs in carry-on luggage with none allowed in checked. I was planning on taking quite a few.

I have one that’s a 32000 mAh that I really want to take but don’t want confiscated, a couple of 26800 mAh, and a couple of 10000 mAh.

What is your experience with what I could take and be safe? TSA.gov isn’t helpful enough and couldn’t talk to a real person. Airlines wasn’t helpful.

This is a US domestic flight.

1. I'm not sure why you need so many battery packs unless you'll be somewhere with no electricity.

I’ve taken one battery pack in carry-on luggage with no problems, but I suspect you might not be allowed that many in your carry-n bag. How about taking them to UPS or FedEX today and shipping them to your destination?

5. No apocalypse but yes, lots of time

w/out electricity and inadequate charging time/ability.

Power banks are not allowed in checked luggage / cargo luggage. You can bring power banks up to 27,000 mAh on most passenger aircraft. Larger power banks may be allowed on some airlines in some parts of the world.Aug 23, 2023
