question about outdated (?) technology - seeking advice

I have a pedal computer control (don't know what it's called; it's for writing [word processing]) and a docking station. I want to get rid of them, but I don't want to throw them away if they can be used.

Can they be used? Is there a forum or something somewhere where I can list them, whether for sale or for free?

Any advice helps. Thanks!

There's no name on the pedal, just some numbers on the back. The docking station is aTargus DisplayLink Plug and Display.

Find wherever you stored it on your computer, then right-click and “Open with”, then select Google Chrome.

Once it’s visible on Google Chrome, right-click again and select “Search image with Google Lens” (or similar, it’s the last of multiple options).

What comes up will let you know if there’s any value to what you have, or at least let you know if it can still be used by someone.

This assumes you have a smartphone and know how to get images from that copied into your computer, which has to be Windows-based (since that’s all I know for providing advice).

Honestly, if you have a foot-operated device that was used to control a word processing program, you can just throw that out - there’s won’t be any current or future use for that kind of hardware, and I’m certain of that. But the docking station might work with certain current computers. However, if it does, it will almost certainly be a very specific subset.
