Many church goers leave those fake bills that are actually church tracts as "tips" for their servers at restaurants. Check Not Always Right and Reddit Tales from Your Server for verification of this.

Between that and the lectures on why the servers should not be working on the "Lord's Day" most servers hate working Sundays. If a So-called Christians doesn't believe that people should work on Sunday, they should not go out to eat at a restaurant.

popular cafe in the 70's and got stuck with the church crowd every Sunday. I waited on huge tables-alone because the other waitresses hated them. No lie when I tell you that my best tip came from a table of ten. It was fifty cents, which was the average for a table for two. But, you know, Gawd provides. That bon mot was part of my tip.

Several years ago my girlfriend and I were eating dinner at an all night Diner. The waitress was middle-aged and very upbeat. Since it was a slow night we chatted for a bit.She had been there for 20 yrs and said she had worked every shift. I asked her if the drunks who came in after the bars closed were her worst customers. She laughed and said, "No, the drunks are fine and often funny as hell." Then who are the worst I asked? She asked me if I was religious and I said no. She seemed relieved and said the after church crowd was the worst and she hated it when they came in. "Why?"I asked. She said they were rude, arrogant and demanding and worst of all they were HORRIBLE tippers and often left Chick tracts in place of a tip."So Christ-like" I quipped and she laughed.

Oh yeah, and this one other time when my nina re-upped with the católicos after having been born’ded again for a decade or so. Didn’t want to go. But she’s my nina. I like her and she’s nice.

12. That doesn't have anything to do with evolution

Jul 2023

I belong to a church where we believe that evolution is real and that it explains the development of the species. That's what evolution is about, although there's a lot of other pseudoscientific claptrap out there about evolution. That's what the scientist-by-training in me says.

Having said that...do we know this church is one of those disgusting ones who are polluting our politics? If so, hurray to the person who did this.

If it's like my church, which does do good with its limited funds and doesn't bilk anything out of anyone any more than any other organization that asks for donations does, then this is just rude. I can tell you at my church, we'd merely throw that out and hope that we can help the person become more open-minded.

The text is rather small, so I’ll trust it’s accurate. I still submit you can call it satire, but it isn’t good.

In my church we’d have a chuckle that the person didn’t understand us very well.

A waiter was annoyed after his '$20 tip' turned out to be a Bible pamphlet

17-year-old Garret Wayman, who works as a waiter at a restaurant in a suburb of Wichita, Kansas, said he was excited on Tuesday to see a $20 bill tucked under a ketchup bottle as a tip.

But on closer inspection, his excitement turned to irritation after he said he realized the tip was a fake.

A customer had really left Wayman a religious pamphlet disguised to look like money that recommended he seek "faith thru Jesus Christ" and start reading the bible.

Here's a closer look at the fake money:

Believe me, real Christians are angered by this shit, maybe more than non-Christians. As my original reply said, if that church was one of those, hurray for the guy who put that in the collection plate. But I don't see there's a link between the idiot who left the "tip" and that church unless they are preaching ignorance.

And, yes, I'm fed up enough with these bozos to say they aren't real Christians.

And placing them on high traffic paths. Las Vegas Strip, beach boardwalks, malls, etc.

Pick up what seems to be a lost $10 or $20 bill quartered, and low and behold, a find god message on a fake. Been doing that since I was a kid. Likely longer. Hypocrites.
