The more we learn about animals the more we know how smart and sentient and sweet they are. Chickens, for example, can be highly affectionate to humans.

Beans and other legumes are very tasty, filling, healthy, cheap, and versatile, for example.

Tofu gets a bad rap, IMO, because people think it lacks flavor. But that is it's beauty -- it's a blank slate that takes on whatever flavors you add to it. This recipe, for example, yields taco filling that has the flavor and texture very similar to what you'd get in a meat taco.

Thank you for sharing.

A few years ago I read a book about Octopi (can't find the title in my list) and so enjoyed it. They are pretty amazing creatures.

And, agreed, don't eat them.
