I wonder if there will be any temporary cult following of this old film given the identical scenario.
This scene was the only thing I remember out the whole movie now since I watched it back in high school.
I wonder what the guy who posted this clip over a decade ago must be thinking these days

from (iirc) the 1890s about a luxury liner sinking, almost exactly as the Titanic did later.
In the book, the ship's name was the Titan.
