or your package when stated because of USPS. I know that the USPS can be slow. But why am I still getting junk mail in a timely manner??? Two weeks ago, after waiting on the phone for close to an hour, I was told it I would get my pension statement for tax purposes before Valentine's Day. I didn't. I called yesterday and after waiting for half an hour was told there was no one to answer the phone. I live 10 miles south of Pittsburgh where the form is being mailed. I was to leave my number and they would call back during the next two days. I got a call this morning saying it would be sent out.Is anyone else having trouble with businesses using the USPS as a ready made excuse? "Oh we sent it, you just haven't received it yet. I just wish that they would be more honest.

I promise you that you are not getting all of it on time and that much of it is, in fact, very late. I have plenty of emails from irritated clients thinking that I have some magical control over the USPS to prove it.
We sent out a mailing over 3 weeks ago, first class with tracking; about 40k pieces. Only about 33% has scanned as of this week. That was the east coast, mostly the Carolinas. Ohio is always sketchy with mail delivery and they lost an entire skid of mail about two years ago...no sign of it anywhere, until it showed up back at our own dock a MONTH later
. USPS had no idea how it got back to us or where it had been. USPS does try to help but even they're limited to know the reasons why mail is delayed. Normally, they'll say it's weather related or there was a strike somewhere or a train derailed. All legitimate reasons to a point.
So, yes, some of those businesses are likely telling the truth and others are just using it as an excuse.
If you're having tax forms or other important documents mailed I would suggest Certified Mail.

and lots of fun to silk screen on polymer clay. And the results are great. You can order from Sculpey. They have silkscreens and are priced right if she is just beginning.

I was almost tempted to hit any botton, except the died bottton--bad mojo, and ask them to connect me to a person for tax papers. Rant off.
