I'm a big fan of Jack Lemmon, and this is a good one. Maybe the best portrayal of an alcoholic ever.

Especially if you have encountered alcoholism in your life or a loved one's.

I saw Jack Lemmon on a talk show many years ago and they were talking about this movie. The host (can't remember who) told Jack how well he portrayed a drunk. Lemmon told him it was actually not that hard. His secret - just talk real loud. When you watch it you can see it. Simple but brilliant.
