The DU Lounge
Related: Culture Forums, Support ForumsSigh. I have now officially entered the Christmas-dessert-for-breakfast phase of the holidays.
Cheesecake.
Cheesecake after a healthy breakfast. A LARGE healthy breakfast.
I suppose it could be worse. There are years it's been a slab of fudge, a large slab of fudge, after breakfast, after Christmas.
This is why I usually don't buy, or make, desserts. Except for the holidays.
Was hoping to get through the holidays without being quite so stupid this year...

(58,659 posts)fruit, maybe oatmeal too. Lunch is almost always a large salad. Dinner is meat or fish, veggies, fresh fruit.
I almost never buy sugary desserts, which might be why I'm tempted to binge when any is around.

There is ham and sweet rolls, but slapping a sandwich together feels like too much work.

(58,659 posts)I almost always eat a healthy diet. I know going overboard on sweets occasionally won't kill me, and I do try to make sure guests have the desserts they want. But I'm disappointed in my lack of willpower when there's a dessert I like within reach, especially at breakfast time. I can eat breakfast for hours. And if I'm someplace with a great brunch buffet...
