Why Fascists Call Their Enemies Communists Even If They Haven't Read Karl Marx? - Thom Hartmann

Why are fascists calling members of the Democratic Party, communists? Is there really a secret group of communists controlling America or do fascists just want to scare their supporters into voting for Donald Trump? Thom Hartmann breaks down the favorite insult of fascists. - Aired on 08/01/2023.

As a lifelong Democrat, I have never once had anyone talk to me about Marx or suggest brewens Aug 2023 #1

I read his Communist Manifesto. I know this and that about it because it's come up in history classes and documentaries, but that's all. I know way more about the Bible and I'm not a Christian.

the mind of those you would not want to be around, it helps to understand them, otherwise we become like MAGAts who do not need proofs to want to indict or impeach Biden, or who cannot tell you why they think trump was a good president, it is all faith based, just like religion, reason why the modern republican party is thought of as a cult.

I read everything and anything, it is good to do that.

What is the quote, "Keep friends close but enemies closer"? Reading what they write, what supports their ideology is a way to keep them close without having to be physically close.

These moronic right-wingers see the Red Scare and Tailgunner Joe McCarthy's hearings as their glory days, when they could simultaneously froth up outrage and terror just by accusing anyone of having "some other allegiance".
They miss that power and want it back.

"The last forty years have seen a huge proliferation of think tanks and political NGOs whose purpose, beneath all the verbiage, is to execute political agendas by proxy. Powerful corporations are part of the nexus of power around the state, and enjoy the ability to deploy its coercive power, just as the state often exerts its influence through the agency of powerful corporations."
