Related: About this forumJack Smith will try to prove Trump knew stolen election 'theory' was 'false' and would 'not hold up'
The former president received a target letter from Special Counsel Jack Smith regarding his involvement in efforts to interfere with the 2020 election certification, including the January 6th Capitol attack.
Ken Dilanian and Garrett Haake join Peter Alexander to report on the latest in the investigation, and former lead investigator for the January 6th Select Committee Tim Heaphy shares his thoughts about the case against Trump.
We had testimony directly that Bill Barr told the president, that Rich Donoghue, the Deputy Attorney General, told the president the State Farm Arena claim of fraud is false, Heaphy says. We've looked at it and it just does not hold up. Nonetheless, the president continued to spout that theory and that goes directly to his state of mind and that's why it's of interest to Jack Smith. - MSNBC Reports - Aired on 07/19/2023.

It makes me nutz that the media doesn't report that he actually lost twice.

Spending tens of billions on election and legal cases, sapping time and effort from the economy, to disprove some idiot's theory about himself. This is crazy.

He has never been the choice of the majority of the people - and as offensive as he was from day #1, he has gotten so many, many, many times worse! All I wanted back in 2016 was for the election to be over so we'd never have to hear from him again! Shows what I know...

Is what we should say. The other Republican candidates would be smart to point that out, too.

The media is the main culprit in not pointing that out - but that fact should also be a major talking point for every Republican running against him.
