Apparently the feud between Marjorie Taylor Greene and Lauren Boebert is far worse than anyone thought, and multiple Republican members of Congress are now saying that the feud could end up in a fist fight at any moment. But some of the lawmakers actually think it would be fun to watch the two duke it out on the House floor, ignoring the damage that this could do to their Party in next year's elections. Farron Cousins explains what the ongoing fight between the two could do to the GOP.

A new report out on Monday says that the fight between Marjorie Taylor Greene and Lauren Boebert in the House of Representatives might be even worse than we think. In fact, they didn't say it might be worse than we think. They said it's totally so much worse than any of us even knew about. The Daily Beast actually spoke to multiple different Republican members of Congress who all seem to be laboring under the idea that this feud between Marjorie Taylor Greene and Lauren Boebert is so intense that they are expecting at any given moment for it to turn into a fist fight that one of them said would mostly be like professional wrestling. You know, nobody actually gets hurt, but they are expecting green and Boebert to eventually start hitting each other. Here is what Republican representative, Tim, uh, Burquette said a fistfight could break out at any moment.
I am friends with both of them. It's entertaining to think that a fistfight could break out at any moment. I kind of dig that he says, I kind of dig that right? I mean, yeah, sure we're supposed to be, you know, respectable, upstanding people. The whole world watches what we do, but come on, everybody loves a good fight every now and then, right? another Republican lawmaker who was not named, said they will be nailing that coffin shut and one of them is still in their kicking and screaming. So basically, and he didn't say which would be which, right? Like look, one of them is gonna end up burying the other one, but the one who gets buried is still gonna be alive and they'll be ca so super weird, crazy situation here. Now, Ken Buck, Republican representative who happens to be on the Freedom Caucus, he was asked by the Daily Beast about this, and he said, I'm not interested in that. So some Republicans clearly a little tired of it, don't want the press talking about it. Lauren Boebert, of course herself did not respond, but Marjorie Taylor Greene did offer a comment to the Daily Beast and she said, dude, do you do anything besides report on complete drama and? No, I'm serious.
I mean, listen, is this drama hell's drama? Is it what we should be talking about right now? Yes, actually, and here's why. Because like so many other things that I talk about, this actually goes back to the Democrats. Now, I'm not saying the Democrats caused this or that it's a problem for the Democrats. What I think needs to happen right now, and this is actually based on strategy that the White House has already laid out. The White House told us earlier this year, uh, well, reports told us the White House is planning on making Marjorie Taylor Greene the face of the Republican Party in their 2024 campaigns. Okay, so building off that, the way this
Ties back into the Democrats, or at least it should, is because these are the kinds of stories that Democrats need to be putting in national ads all over the country right now. As I always say, don't wait until campaign season starts. Like don't start running these ads in September of next year. Run them now like post screenshots of the article from The Daily Beast, post angry images of these women shouting from the house floor, not necessarily at each other, but post those images of them standing up and screaming during the State of the Union. Those are powerful images to go along with this story about these angry, potentially violent people that Republicans have put in the House of Representatives. It's powerful imagery that can be used against the entire Republican party by saying, this is what they all stand for, this is who they all are.

The Assault in the U.S. Senate Chamber on Senator Sumner.
On May 22, 1856, two days after Sumner concluded his inflammatory antislavery speech, Representative Preston Brooks found Sumner seated at his desk in the Chamber. I have read your speech, Brooks declared as he raised his heavy walking stick and beat him until the senator was left bleeding and unconscious on the Chamber floor.
