which would severely limit its effectiveness. Those days are long over, it's the wrong kind of war for that.

Plus, Putin is never going to use the best, they frighten him because he knows they might take over completely. He chooses toadies and then plays them off against each other, Garasimov against Shoigu, Shoigu against Prigozhin, Prigozhin against everybody else which means his number's just about up. His fall seems to be faster than his rise. Eventually people in government are going to realize that Putin and his intrigues make up the weak link in the chain, but they're all playing the palace intrigue games for now.

What that all means is that no combination of military leaders is going to work, Putin or no Putin.
