Kellyanne Conway Says There's Only One Way Trump Can Win In 2024 - Ring of Fire

In a new op-ed for The New York Times, former Trump counselor Kellyanne Conway says that there is only one way for Donald Trump to win the White House in 2024, and that is to once again portray himself as "the outsider." But the public has already seen the damage that an "outsider" can cause while in office, because Trump was an unmitigated disaster - a disaster that Conway herself helped make worse. Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins dissects Kellyanne Conway's arguments.

Kellyann Conway, for some reason was allowed to write an op-ed for the New York Times that was published. And in her op-ed, she pointed out that, look, the path for Donald Trump to win in 2024 is rough. But there is one weird trick he can use as if it's a clickbait title, to actually get people to support him once again. And she says, even that is tough, right? Let me read just a little bit of what she says here. It would also be foolish to assume that Mr. Trump's path to another presidency would be smooth and secure. This is not 2016 when he and his team had the hunger, swagger and scrappiness of an insurgents campaign and the history be damned happy warrior resolve of an underestimated, understaffed, under-resourced effort. It's tough to be new twice, unless what's old can be new again. Mr. Trump's track record reminds Republican primary voters of better days, not that long ago, accomplishments on the economy, energy, national security, trade deals and peace deals, the drug crisis, and the southern border.

He can also make a case, one that will resonate with Republicans about the unfairness and hypocrisy of social media censorship and alleged, alleged big tech collusion as recent, ongoing revelation show. Basically what she is saying is you've gotta run as the scrappy little outsider once again. And let's be real. Donald Trump is still an outsider. The problem is all of those accomplishments that she listed here are fabrications. We did not have a big, grand, robust economy. We, we did not have energy independence. We did not have robust national security like we were still involved in Middle East Wars we're still involved today, just a little bit less. So we were still worried about North Korea doing something crazy. We were worried about Russia doing something crazy. The trade deals sent a record number of American farmers into bankruptcy because there were no deals. There was just a trade war.

We got tax cuts for the wealthy elite and the middle class working class underclass. They all got screwed over and they were off about it, and they punished Republicans for it in 2018. Kellyann. Or do you not remember that? Like everything you're saying that Trump did that reminds people of better days? Those days sucked. And hopefully those voters remember that. But what they should remember is that it came because Donald Trump was an idiot. And that's what you get when you put an outsider in the White House. When you take a guy that knows nothing about anything with regard to foreign or domestic policy and give him all of that power, people

Suffer. You can't put a moron in the White House and expect great things to happen. So while it's true what you're saying that oh, he was an outsider and that's why people picked him, yes, that is true. But then they saw how dangerous it is to have an idiot in the White House that doesn't know how things work. Republicans were punished for it in 2018. They were punished for it in 2020. And then when they enacted their extreme MAGA agenda this past, uh, uh, before the midterms, they got punished for that too. Like everything you are telling Trump to do are things that have already been proven to not resonate with the voters.
