It also sounds as if the six-year old should not have even been in the classroom. I want to know more about the altercation. I understand the good intentions behind mainstreaming problem kids, but it shouldn't have fatal consequences and be disruptive for everyone else. I also understand privacy issues for minors and we may never know what happened, but I think it's helpful to know.

Is the child abused or is he witnessing abuse? Is he witnessing threats using a gun?

behavioral or other mental disorder/developmental/other disturbance issues? I've seen nothing except the mention that the teacher had tried to confiscate the gun...?

I did not read that she was trying to take the gun, so I assumed at that point it wasn't involved.

If children under 16 get a hold of the parents guns the parents need to be jailed. The conservatives should be behind this as it makes parents responsible.
