Sources: Roberts fought to the end to save Roe v. Wade

Hmmmm, trying to save the last shred of his legacy and not go down as the worst SCOTUS in US history under his watch? Sorry, pal, that ship has sailed.

You let your Court be hijacked by Alito and Thomas.

At this point, you’re useless. Have fun!

3. But he still voted to uphold the Mississippi 15-week limit.

That is such bullshit. So much can go wrong after the 15th week which leaves women who miscarry or have a troubled pregnancy in a terrible predicament.

Roberts often wants to have it both ways. And when it comes to protecting "the ruling class," they can always count on his vote.

Roberts failed and the partisan hacks on the bench have destroyed the reputation of the SCOTUS

To say he fought for it, probably means he knew he was a GOP wedge issue. So we don't know what Roberts thinks is just, simply what he believes will benefit the GOP. Yet another empty seat on the SCOTUS.

You'd think that would tell him something. Then again, he couldn't even swear a president in correctly.

While not as egregious as "the leak", it's highly unusual for the inner debates of the court to make it out into the public eye.

If true, however, this reporting does make it seem more likely that the leak originated on the right side of the court.

All we knew at the time was that it was supported by at least five justices.

Dissents and concurring opinions are written after that point.

but his questioning and prior comments made pretty clear that he would allow the law in question to stand (and thus constrain Roe if not overturn it entirely). There was never any question of him siding with the three dissenting justices.

He would have had to vote in the minority to have "fought to the end".
