Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) talks with CNN's Jim Sciutto about the final January 6 hearing and how he feels the committee has proven criminal exposure against former President Donald Trump. The committee presented damning new evidence highlighting then-President Trump's three-hour refusal to publicly condemn the unfolding insurrection at the US Capitol or to call off the violent mob. (7,981 posts)1. Wow, a Republican who knows what's up and doesn't lie.
I was going to say why is he still a Republican? But now that I think about, it hes better off as one hopefully changing conversations and perhaps helping to take back that party from the autocrats and their crazed and delusional voters.
At a minimum he gains respect in my eyes for his honesty and clearheaded thinking not to mention bravery given his position within the nest of vipers that the Republican Party has apparently become.

However, as a Republican, he's not running again. And, as he said, he's received death threats.
