Let the police defund themselves. All Civil law suits and settlements should come out of police payrolls.
1. Overtime is cheaper than multimillion settlements. They are paid by the hour.

2. It would end the "blue line" of protecting bad apples. I call it the gang mentality of the cops. If bad cops cost good cops money it would end the "Professional Courtesy” of protecting fellow gang members at all cost. The bad cops would be gone.

I hope the department has to pay out many $millions and the Mayor and Chief are run out of town and their jobs by the voters that have to pay for this crap.
